Suriname
Suriname is located on the Caribbean coast of South America. This small country, which at 63,039 square miles is only slightly larger than the state of Georgia, contains more rainforest than all of Central America. Suriname’s rainforests are high in biological diversity and endemic species and home to thousands of indigenous peoples. The country has lost only eight percent of its original forest. [more]
