CITES, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, is the only international protection measure for endangered species' products. CITES limits trade between nations of products such as ivory from African and Asian elephants, pelts or other products derived from tigers, scrimshaw from the bones of whales, and shells from sea turtles.
